After a long period of collaboration and dreaming by the veterinarians affiliated with The Piedmont Equine Practice, Piedmont Small Animal in the Plains, VA held its’ grand opening in October 2016. The idea of building a small animal practice specializing in a variety of dog and cat breeds attached to an equine hospital is rather unique for Northern Virginia but works perfectly for us and our clientele! We are excited and proud to be working side by side with our equine associates. We thoroughly enjoy our clients, both new and old.
We feel blessed to be part of a community that is filled with fun, savvy pet owners. The best part of our practice is our long-term relationships with our clients and their wonderful dogs and cats. We love getting to know our clients and take time to tailor care and treatment plans for every patient.
We provide thoughtful care for dogs and cats, from pediatrics to geriatrics. We emphasize preventative care to optimize health and support longevity for your pets. We use Fear Free handling techniques and are a Certified Feline Friendly Practice.
