Dr. Katy Wilson grew up in Colorado, exploring the Rocky Mountains on the back of her horse and showing Paint Horses while in high school. Her family helped forge a passion for caring for animals.

In 1992 she graduated from the Colorado State College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and worked the following two years as an equine practitioner before transitioning to exclusively small animal practice. She enjoys helping clients develop a loving bond with their pet and values the relationship formed with the clients in the process.

Dr. Wilson and her husband Dr. Dave Johnson, another CSU grad moved to northern Virginia in 1998 (many of you may know Dr. Johnson as the Piedmont Equine dental practitioner). They live in White Post with daughter Reagan, seven horses, two dogs, two cats and four chickens. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding and painting.
