She and her husband Joe, live on a farm in Marshall, surrounded by Golden Retrievers and horses. Their home was built in 1802 and keeps them busy as all farms and old houses do! She is an avid rider, competing in horse trials with her favorite horse, Whole Lotta Lovin. She and her husband are active members of the Old Dominion Hunt. Dr. Thayer also raises Golden Retrievers. The kennel name is Winterset’s Golden retrievers. Her girls named Merlot, Willow and Maple are always happy to greet anyone who comes to visit.
Pam and Joe have two daughters, Hayley and Kristina. Both have graduated from College and Joe and her are beginning their life as empty nesters. The family enjoys sailing on the Chesapeake Bay on Joe’s boat the Orianna, riding horses together and hiking whenever possible. She hopes that there will be more travel in their future.
